Sacred Simplicity ⛪︎

By

In the quiet corners of the Black church, I found a faith that isn’t bound by the size of the building, but by the strength of the belief within. I walked through the doors of many sacred spaces, small congregations where voices rose in unison, hearts beat as one, and the presence of God was unmistakable.

They were the spaces where hymns turned into anthems of hope, and every ‘Amen’ carried the weight of a people determined to rise above adversity. As a young Black woman walking this path, I carry with me the lessons of those smaller, yet mightier spaces. They remind me that power isn’t in numbers but in purpose, and presence isn’t about size but about spirit.

Whether in moments of peace or struggle, it is the power of faith that empowers us to continue moving forward, just as it has for generations before us. This journey—our journey—is rooted in something unshakable, and it will always lead us to where we’re meant to be. Grace
